About Kate

Kate's tutoring business is based in Chicago.

Kate is an educator  and former teacher who recognizes the difference quality education makes in the life of a child, from the doors it opens to the skills it imparts.  She attended Phillips Academy Andover for high school, and serves as an Alumni Council member and alumni interviewer for the boarding school.  Kate graduated from Williams College in 2000, where she double-majored in Economics and Literary Studies.  Additionally, she holds a JD from Yale Law School.

Kate worked as a middle school and high school math teacher in Los Angeles, as a Wall Street attorney and as a Northwestern Law School administrator.  Throughout her career, she has tutored kids in middle school math and SAT preparation.  Looking at her footsteps, Kate realized that her working with kids was the most rewarding work she had done. 

A former school soccer coach and lifelong soccer player, Kate lives in downtown Chicago with her husband, toddler daughter, and dog.
